Searching for a new home for my 1993 Volkswagen Cabriolet, Collector’s Edition. Original design & paint with regular maintenance since purchase in 2001. 109k mileage, automatic, power heated leather seats, power windows, garage kept.Requires a complete tune up since last driven in 2005.Sold AS IS. FIRM on price. Awesome fun car to fix up.Needs new windshield (cracked), convertible top has tears, oil/fluids replacement, battery replacement, antenna.Radio and speakers do not work, minimal wear and tear on the seats, carpet rugs with removable stains.All tires were purchased and replaced in 2004.No body damage, minimal to no rust, minor scratches, burgundy body coat is the original color with black vinyl convertible top with black trimming, all trimming included, beige convertible cover, original alloy wheels.Includes manual service book for self-service. Offered for sale is a very nice example of a summer beach cruiser in clean condition. 1992 VW Rabbit convertible with under 100K miles! Looks GREAT! I purchased the vehicle last year at Barrett Jackson auction because I wanted something to work on over the winter, hence the new parts. My wife and I have enjoyed driving the VW this past year. Sadly, a move is forcing the sale of this little buggy. It really is fun to drive for only 77hp and we always get lots of compliments when people see it. Brings back great memories. Many new parts, including convertible top, water pump, wipers, radiator, front struts, LED interior lights, alternator, battery, new plugs, wires, cap rotor. I did a compression test on all 4 cylinders and results were 180 psi and holding- new motor rates 185 psi. The body has a couple of dings which I pointed out in pictures. Paint is nice and rich and shiny. Tires are good with a lot of life left in them. Directional stick is missing end piece which controls cruise control ( does not effect daily use). A/C needs to be charged. Heat works. Removable face CD player with jack so you can plug your phone in and play your own music. Power front windows operate smoothly. Doors close tight. No leaks. Equipped with Driver Side air bag but light is steady red on dash as the bag is past "expiration". Temperature gauge works intermittently. Body is clean and straight. No rust except for small area on drivers door (which I pointed out in picture). I adjusted door so it no longer rubs. Windshield is clean and clear. Small rust bubbles in usual spots on top of windshield. Seats are in good shape. Seat belts work. Top is smooth, clean and easy to lift and close. NO leaks! Car is not garaged during the summer and even after heavy rain it is dry. It has a 5 speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly and effortlessly. The wheels are actually GTI rims giving this car a cool modern twist to a VW classic. I will also include the hardcover Bentley service manual (red cover) which is a wealth of knowledge.
